St. Mark Catholic Church
Religious Education
Welcome
to St. Mark’s Parish. The Religious Education program mission is to
provide an approach to learning that teaches the child, and welcomes
you, the parents, into the program so that all together, we can help
the child to develop a close and personal relationship with the Lord,
Jesus Christ.
Home, school
and parish are all a part of the child’s life. The child’s growth
includes all aspects of the body and mind, heart and spirit. Whatever
your own unique role is in relation to the child, all of us are
involved in that child’s life. Here at St. Mark’s, we will assist the
parents in their role as teacher of their children by offering
education in the form of parent meetings, sending home information
letters, and encourage you, the parent, to spend time with your child
talking about the weeks lesson or rereading it to your child.
We are using the Faith and Life series published by Ignatius Press. The
textbooks contain thought provoking activities, vocabulary words, and
easy to understand explanations of the foundation of our faith.
Each
and every parent has the dignity of being the original and
irreplaceable person in the child’s religious journey. The teachers,
administrators, aides, and volunteers play a supporting role to you,
the parent. We are here to assist you. If you have any questions,
please don’t hesitate to call at 469.7835. May God Bless you and your
families.
Sincerely,
Cathy Roach
